Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 is concert film of The Who’s concert at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970. The concert occurred on 30 August 1970 at 2:00 am. A VHS was not released until 1996. A compact disc of the concert was also released in 1996. The concert was re-released on DVD in 1998 in the United States and 2006 in the United Kingdom.
This is the film of The Who’s appearance at the third (and final) Isle of Wight festival in 1970. This is regarded as the band’s finest performance. (Also included is a rare interview with Pete Townsend).
