60 Minutes: December 02, 2007 The Purge; One Laptop; Will Smith Scott Pelley reports about the Anglican clergyman in Baghdad who watched his flock killed with survivors forced into exile by extremist Muslims. Why now, after 2,000 years of being able to mutually respect each other, are Christians and Muslims embroiled in one of the worst religious civil wars in history? In our next story, ‘One Laptop Per Child’, Lesley Stahl reports about MIT’s Professor Nicholas Negroponte’s determination to get a laptop into the laps of children in Third World countries. The professor has since realized his goal is more of a dream, but it’s one he’s not quite ready to give up on. Finally, actor Will Smith is a box office draw who earns more than $20 million per film.
