Initial D: The battle between Keisuke and Kouzou has concluded. The focus is now on the battle between Takumi and Toshiya Joushima. The race is a downhill pursuit format (no uphill round) and Takumi is the mouse on the first run. Ryosuke advises Takumi to drag the battle out and make it an endurance battle. It becomes apparent why Toshiya's flawless driving technique has earned him the moniker of "God Hand," as he is able to control his steering with just one hand while shifting with the other.
