Mama's Family: Mama gets home from a sale, upset that there weren't any good sales. And when she learns that Vint brought Claude home for lunch, it makes her even more upset. That night, after an unpleasant family dinner, Ellen returns Mama's prized silver. Mama asks Vint to put her silver on the top shelf as the phone rings. Vint picks it up, and it turns out to be Claude, who has been arrested for getting in a bar fight. He needs to be bailed out, and the bail is two hundred and fifty dollars. Vint tells him that he doesn't have the money, but after Claude runs a guilt trip, Vint says he'll help. He asks Ellen, who turns him down. So he decides to pawn Mama's silver. Mama discovers her silver is gone the next morning and starts panicking. She wakes Vint up, and after lying, he ends up confessing what he did with it. This really pisses Mama off, and they get into a fight. Mama kicks Vint out, and Fran thinks it is about time. But in the end, Mama lets him stay and they make peace, for a few minutes at least.
