Staff in Major Trauma at Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham are overstretched and pushed to the limit as they face ever-increasing patient numbers. Jeremy and Patricia are admitted with multiple injuries following a high-speed car crash. Doctors are concerned that Jeremy's history of cancer could affect his recovery, while the emergency team tries to determine the full extent of Patricia's spinal injury.
